FA 'GET INVOLVED' CAMPAIGN
In conjunction with the Women's FA Cup Final a new marketing campaign entitled 'Get Involved' was launcged.
What is the Campaign?
This new campaign is similar to the old 'Girls Football Get Involved'. It is a call centre (funded by the UK Youth and Sports Trust) who runs a local rate hotline number which girls can ring to find out their local opportunities. Following the call, a pack is sent out to the caller which includes a personalised letter from Hope Powell OBE, a folder, fold out magazine/poster featuring NSPCC information, a funky tattoo kit and list of their local County FA and Club contact details.
Aims of the Campaign
To suport the National Game's 5 Year Strategy to increase participation:
- To drive more players through the Talent Development structure.
- To promote role models in the media
- To capture data of players and those interested in women and girls football
- Research possibilities
- Sell tickets and merchandise
Who does the Campaign Target?
- Primary/Secondary 8 - 16 year old girls
- Influencers - Parents, Teachers
- 16+ Women
It's a campaign to target girls not involved but want to learn and play football. Active Sports in partnership with the County FA is promoting callers to the hotline. We also need the support of teachers who will receive a pack so they can understand the campaign and show it to their pupils before handing out promotional literature to drive each girl to ring for their individual pack. Each pack contans: double sided posters, four sided fold out leaflet and credit card style flyers. When teachers call the hotline off their own back, they will be sent a generic letter form the Women's England Coach, Hope Powell and one pack containing 4 posters and 32 credit card flyers.
